Thornhill is a
very pleasant village situated about 14 miles north of Dumfries on the
A76 Dumfries-Kilmarnock road, a major part of the Robert Burns Trail
through Nithsdale. Ideal centre for touring, fishing, golf, walking,
cycling, family history research, bird watching, canoeing, etc.
Old Tannery Cottage is the result of the conversion of
old tannery buildings. It is finished to a high standard (STB
4 Star) and is exceptionally well appointed. It accommodates
up to 4 people as 2 doubles or a double and 2 singles.
As
there is no garden to the property it is unsuitable for young
children.

of subsequent occupants of the property we have a no smoking policy
and we do not allow pets.
Heating throughout is by electricity, which is
included in the rental.
The kitchen has electric cooker
with extraction unit, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing
machine, condenser dryer, dish washer, etc.

with TV, video, DVD and music centre.
Ground floor cloakroom. Sun
porch with table and chairs. Payphone. Two bedrooms, each with own full-size bathroom, are upstairs.
Bedroom 1 has a king size bed. The
ensuite bathroom has W.C. wash hand basin, bath with shower, and
bidet. Bedroom 2 has a king size zip and
link bed that can be split to provide 2 single beds. This ensuite
bathroom has W.C., wash hand basin, and 3/4 size bath tub with shower.
Both bedrooms have T.V. and hair-dryers. Towels and bed linen
provided.
Off street parking for 2 cars and secure accommodation
for bikes, canoes, fishing rods, golf clubs, etc., with drying
facilities and chest freezer.
Thornhill is well provided with a variety of eating
places, with mini supermarkets, a baker, butchers, chemist,
hairdressers, beauticians, boutiques, etc., all within very easy strolling distance
(c.200m) of the property.
Prices for 2008
Prices range from £260 - £355 per week. Short breaks
